14 World Skills India Training Centers In Media & Entertainment Sector Soon

Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), today announced the launch of 14 Authorized World Skills India Training Centers (AWSITC) across 9 cities in India, for the Media and Entertainment sector. The new institutes are being set up for advanced skill training of candidates in the media and entertainment sector, not just to compete in the WorldSkills and IndiaSkills competitions buts also to further develop the skilling eco-system for training candidates for the international market.

The state of the art AWSITCs, set up in partnership with the MESC (Media & Entertainment Skill Council), will help the candidates to enhance their skill as per the global standards and the training programs will be designed as per the NSFQ level, which will be industry linked. All candidates will get hands-on training on live projects.

The minister also marked the event by felicitating some of the winners of the recently concluded WorldSkills competition, held in Kazan in August this year. This year was India’s best ever performance in the biennial WorldSkills competition. The 48-member Indian team won one Gold, one Silver, two Bronze medals besides 15 Medallions of Excellence at the competition.

The event also witnessed the presence of Sunita Sanghi – Sr. Advisor, MSDE; Manish Kumar, CEO,NSDC; Subhash Ghai, Chairman, MESC; Shobha Ghosh, Asst. Secretary General, FICCI; Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC among other eminent dignitaries from industry and academia of various states.

After the remarkable performance at WorldSkills Kazan, 2019, MESC is geared up to mark its best performance at WorldSkills Shanghai 2021 with the help of 14 AWSITC with the purpose to train and groom the future WorldSkills Competition champions with the help of industry engagement and participation in live projects. AWSITC will also be the stage for Faculty and Student Exchange Programs ensuring global standards and cater to the evolving manpower demand from the Industry.

The certification courses of 9 months to 36 months duration on graphic design technology, 3D Digital Game and Print Media technology will be offered at the centres. Striving to achieve Prime Minister’s vision of Skill India across the nation, AWSITC shall also function as a platform for all states to leverage and be benefited in terms of training the candidates who will be identified at state/regional or different levels of progression.

9 शहरों में 14 अधिकृत वर्ल्ड स्किल इंडिया ट्रेनिंग सेंटर स्थापित करने की योजना शुरू 

  • शहरों में चंडीगढ़, चेन्नई, दिल्ली, हैदराबाद, इंदौर, मुंबई, पुणे, शिलांग और त्रिवेंद्रम शामिल हैं
  • एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी का उद्देश्य उम्मीदवारों को लाभकारी तरीके से कार्य करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में अपने कौशल का प्रदर्शन करने के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करना है।

केंद्रीय कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता (एमएसडीई) मंत्री डॉ. महेंद्र नाथ पांडे ने आज मीडिया और मनोरंजन क्षेत्र के लिए भारत के 9 शहरों में 14 अधिकृत वर्ल्ड स्किल इंडिया ट्रेनिंग सेंटर (एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी) शुरू करने की घोषणा की। नए संस्थान मीडिया और मनोरंजन क्षेत्र में न केवल विश्व कौशल और भारत की कौशल प्रतियोगिताओं से मुकाबला करने के लिए उम्मीदवारों को अत्याधुनिक कौशल प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने के लिए स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं बल्कि इनका उद्देश्य अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार के लिए उम्मीदवारों को प्रशिक्षण देने के लिए कौशल परितंत्र विकसित करना भी है।

एमईएससी (मीडिया एंड एंटरटेनमेंट स्किल काउंसिल) के साथ साझेदारी में स्थापित किए गए आधुनिक एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी उम्मीदवारों को वैश्विक मानकों के अनुसार अपना कौशल बढ़ाने में मदद करेंगे और प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों को एनएसएफक्यू स्तर के अनुसार तैयार किया जाएगा, जो उद्योग से जुड़े रहे हों। सभी उम्मीदवारों को चालू परियोजनाओं पर प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा।

इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन इस वर्ष अगस्त में कज़ान में हाल ही में संपन्न विश्व कौशल प्रतियोगिता के कुछ विजेताओं को सम्मानित करने के लिए किया गया।

इस वर्ष द्विवार्षिक विश्व कौशल प्रतियोगिता में भारत का अब तक का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन रहा। 48 सदस्यीय भारतीय टीम ने प्रतियोगिता में एक स्वर्ण, एक रजत, दो कांस्य पदक के अलावा उत्‍कृष्‍टता के लिए 15 पदक जीते।

इस आयोजन में एमएसडीई की वरिष्‍ठ सलाहकार सुनीता सांघी; एनएसडीसी के सीईओ मनीष कुमार; एमईएससी के अध्‍यक्ष सुभाष घई; फिक्की की सहायक महासचिव शोभा घोष; एमईएससी के सीईओ मोहित सोनी के अलावा विभिन्न राज्यों के उद्योग और शिक्षा क्षेत्र से जुड़े अन्य प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों की उपस्थिति भी देखने को मिली।

विश्व कौशल कज़ान, 2019 में उल्लेखनीय प्रदर्शन के बाद, एमईएससी 14 एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी की मदद से वर्ल्ड स्किल्स शंघाई में अपने सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन के लिए तैयारी में जुट गया है। इसका उद्देश्य भविष्य की वर्ल्ड स्किल्स प्रतियोगिता के चैंपियनों  को प्रशिक्षित प्रदान करना है। एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी छात्रों के एक-दूसरे के देश में जाने का भी मंच होगा और उद्योग की श्रम शक्ति मांग को पूरा करेगा।

केंद्रों पर ग्राफिक डिजाइन तकनीक, 3 डी डिजिटल गेम और प्रिंट मीडिया प्रौद्योगिकी पर 9 महीने से 36 महीने की अवधि के प्रमाणपत्र पाठ्यक्रम पेश किए जाएंगे। देश भर में प्रधानमंत्री की दूरदर्शिता वाले स्किल इंडिया के लक्ष्य को हासिल करने के लिए एडब्ल्यूएसआईटीसी सभी राज्यों के लिए एक मंच के रूप में कार्य करेगा।
