Delhi government, in the next three to four months, will roll out a scheme in which citizens can avail the services of getting their caste certificates, driving licenses etc delivered at home.

Announcing this Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that “Mobile sahayaks (facilitators) will be equipped with all necessary machines such as biometric devices and a camera. For home delivery services, the applicant would be charged a nominal fee, which is yet to be decided.”

Sisodia further said, "Various certificates such as caste, new water connection, income, driving licence, ration card, domicile, marriage registration, duplicate RC and change of address in RC, will be covered under the scheme in the first phase."

As of now this scheme will be applicable to 40 services, which in the second phase will be increase for another 30 services.

This service will be very helpful to the citizens, specially the senior citizens. May be, if this scheme is accepted well by the Delhiites it could be replicated elsewhere too.
