No Plastic Water Bottles, Thermocol Plates Etc In Maha Schools/Offices

Bharat Mahan

From coming 'Gudhi Padwa', the Maharashtra Day, in March 2018, plastic bottles, thermocol plates/bowls/spoons will be banned in Maharashtra schools and govt offices. This ban will be further extended to private offices also later.

Like a few other states which have become plastic-free, Maharashtra also plans to achieve this status soon.

The mineral water producers have been asked to use glass bottles and the use of RO systems will be encouraged.

Nowadays, in many private functions use of plastic disposable bottles are being used which can voluntarily be stopped immediately. Even at offices, some are using such bottles, just to avoid the cleaning of glasses. May be RO systems with disposable paper glasses can be used more and more. Voluntary organisations and individuals must promote this message of damage to environment by plastic use.
