Cows in Madhya Pradesh will be the first in the country to get an Aadhaar identity. Tagged in the ear, the yellow Aadhaar chip will contain the cow's date of birth, address, milk yield, reproductive details and health data, accessible at the click of a mouse. State Animal Husbandry Minister Antar Singh Arya directed officials on Thursday to Aadhaar-tag cows on a priority basis.
As many as 90 lakh cattle, including 54 lakh cows, will get Aadhaar tags. The target is to give 7.5 lakh cattle Aadhaar tags per month across 51 districts of the state.
