So often we hear of news of how organ donation has helped the needy. Here is a story of a brain-dead youth's heart being transplanted in a 42-year old woman. Time we volunteer for organ donation.
"The heart of a 20-year-old brain dead youth from Ahmedabad was transplanted on Tuesday in a 42-year-old woman from Surat in a private hospital of Ahmedabad.
The 20-year-old youth, Kushal Goswami, a resident of Kubernagar area in the city, had sustained severe brain injuries in a road accident on Saturday. Even after two brain surgeries at a private hospital in Shahibaugh area, there was no possibility of his survival. He was, finally, declared brain dead. His family decided to donate his vital organs to someone needy and was waiting for it for long.
