Keeping with the national Swach Bharat Mission, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has undertaken a special "Swachhata Pakhwara", a fortnight long programme, from 1st to 15th Sept. The theme of this special fortnight is "Focused engagement with teachers."
As per the circular of the Ministry the following activities have been suggested for the teachers:
Teachers to hold sensitization meetings with parents on imparting messages of cleanliness and sanitation among their children.
Teachers to inspect sanitary facilities in every institution and plan for their repair and upkeep.
The schools/institutions have been suggested the following activities:
Keeping premises and toilets clean.
Essay & painting competition on cleanliness
Debates on Swachhta.
Swachhta Awareness messages in institution and to be placed on website
Audio-visual motivational programme for students, employees and all others for maintaining cleanliness
Weeding out old files/records that are not needed and disposal of waste material like old furniture, equipments etc.
With the help of local residents students can go to nearby localities for cleanliness drive.
