Country's first Hydro Engineering College will be opened in Bilaspur, in Himachal Pradesh. A MOU has been signed for this between the Himachal Pradesh government and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC). The opening of this college will give job opportunities to the local youth and help NTPC and NHPC to get skilled workforce in the specialised field.
