On 19th January 2017 in this web site a news had been posted as to how Aamir Khan's movie Dangal motivated residents of village Kamod, in Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana, to put name plates bearing names of their daughter outside their houses. Now comes a similar news from Madhya Pradesh. In Mandsaur district some parents have put their daughter's name in addition to their names on the nameplates of their houses. In some cases name plates of only the daughter's name has been put.
This movement started as part of the campaign launched by women and child development department on January 24, the national girl child day. The district child protection officer informs that the results have been encouraging and over 100 families have installed their daughter's nameplates.
