Mangnaram Bishnoi, a long-haul truck driver, is rushing to Kota to see his sons — Mahendra Kumar Bishnoi and Shyam Sunder Bishnoi — who have cleared NEET and JEE-Advanced, respectively, this year.
Bishnoi, 45, has not seen his sons since June 1last year. A resident of Kanasar village in Phalodi tehsil of Jodhpur, Bishnoi can count the number of days he has spent with his family throughout his life due to his job. Most of his salary goes towards interest payment on the multiple loans he took to fund the coaching of his sons in Kota, but is now proud to be called the father of a doctor and an engineer.
Mahendra & Shyam slogged to crack the exam in their first attempt, not visiting their village for a year. Mahendra recalled how they had borrowed clothes, utensils & bags to go to Kota. They are still in Kota for counselling. They want to meet their father before they leave for their respective colleges.

मेहनत के बल पर कामयाबी का एक उदाहरण कायम करते हुए ट्रक चालक मंगनाराम बिश्नोई के दो बेटों महेंद्र कुमार बिश्नोई और श्याम सुंदर बिश्नोई ने इस साल क्रमश: नीट और जेईई-अडवांस्ड क्लियर किया है। वे जोधपुर के फालदोई तहसील के कंसार गांव के निवासी हैं। महेंद्र और श्याम ने पिछले एक साल से जमकर तैयारी की। वे पिछले एक साल के दौरान एक बार भी अपने घर नहीं गए थे।
45 वर्षीय मंगनाराम बिश्नोई ने पिछले साल 1 जून से बेटों को नहीं देखा था। दरअसल उनको अपने काम के सिलसिले में हमेशा बाहर ही रहना पड़ता है। गिनती के दिन परिवार के साथ बिताने को मिलते हैं। आर्थिक रूप से भी बिश्नोई को काफी संघर्ष करना पड़ा। उन्होंने कोटा में बेटों की पढ़ाई के लिए कई बैंकों से लोन ले रखा था। उनकी सैलरी का एक बड़ा हिस्सा लोनों की किस्त भुगतान में ही चला जाता था। अब डॉक्टर और इंजिनियर का पिता कहलाने में उनको गर्व महसूस होगा।
