Village Adopted by Sachin Tendulkar Transformed

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar paid a visit to Puttamrajuvari Kandriga village, in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, which he had adopted in 2014 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sansad Adarsh Yojana.

All Members of Parliament have been asked to adopt a village under the "Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana". However, we do not hear much of what many MPs have done on the ground or what has been the difference in the livelihood of the villagers, after the village was adopted by them. More such stories from villages should be brought out so that others can follow too and the real purpose of the scheme bear fruits.
