Under the leadership of superintendent of police Sanket Pandey , 18 thana in-charges have launched training programmes for the malnourished children among members of the Saharia tribe in MP's Sheopur district. The programmes include administering drugs and vitamins, and counselling the parents. They have also adopted 80 villages.
And it is not only the children who are being taken care of - even expecting mothers are under 'police watch'. The Superintendent of Police says, "we don't want any more malnourished kids to be born here."
