Insurance On Bank Deposits Hiked To Rs 5 Lakh
Soon after the Budget announcement, insurance cover on bank deposits has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh effective from Tuesday, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

186 Agri Products Testing Laboratories Set Up By APEDA
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has added 135 laboratories to existing 51 recognized laboratories. With this initiative APEDA recognition of laboratories has reached 186 laboratories across the country.
Communication Satellite GSAT-30 Launched Successfully
India’s latest communication satellite GSAT-30 was successfully launched from the Spaceport in French Guiana during the early hours on 17th. The launch vehicle Ariane 5 VA-251 lifted off from Kourou Launch Base, French Guiana at 2:35 am IST carrying India’s GSAT-30 and EUTELSAT KONNECT for Eutelsat, as scheduled. (PIB)
