Work under the rural electrification wing of Power Ministry is moving at a very fast pace. Out of 597,464 census villages, 587,900 villages (98.3%) have been electrified. Details can be had from the web site of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana - www.ddugjy.gov.in. An App has also been launched to give exact status of electrification in the village or district.
