Government is undertaking establishment of two National Kamdhenu Breeding Centres in the country. An amount of Rs.25.00 Crore has been released to Madhya Pradesh for establishment of a breeding centre in Itarsi, Hoshangabad in Northern region of India and Rs 25 crore has been released to Andhra Pradesh for establishment of a breeding centre in Chintaladevi, Nellore in Southern region of India.
Under Rashtriya Gokul Mission, all the bull mother farms available with State governments and State Implementing Agencies/ State Livestock Development Boards are covered for modernisation and strengthening of existing infrastructure.
