60 yr Woman Digs Well From Money Saved

A sixty year old woman with the help of 4 others dug a 52 ft well in a village in Udupi. The gram panchayat had provision for this under NREGA Act but as the total cost exceeded the allotted funds this woman used her savings to finish the work. Now, some ten families are dependent on this well.
