The results of IIT-JEE Advanced, one of the most difficult entrance examinations in the country, have been announced. Seems, none clear these examinations who have not taken specialised coachings from the several institutes spread all over the country. And then one can see various advertisements of these institutes claiming credit for the successful candidates.
With the results of this year being announced yesterday, news says that 45 of the top 100 students have had their coaching in different centres of Kota alone.
However, when we talk of these coaching institutes, comes a name which has made headlines all over for so many years - Mathematician Anand Kumar's Super 30. This year again he has made history when all his 30 students have cleared the IIT-JEE Advanced. All his students are from humble background - a son of a landless farm labourer of of a vendor, a shopkeeper or a yoga teacher. And surprisingly most of the successful candidates are from government-run Bihar School Examination Board.
19 of the 20 students of Abhayanand Super 30 cleared these exams. It may be mentioned that Anand Kumar and Abhayanand had started the Super 30 more than a decade back. Later the two separated.
There is another story of one serving Jharkhand IAS officer KK Khandelwal who teaches physics and mathematics free of cost for this exam. All six of his students cleared the exams.
