The New Delhi Municipal Corporation has set up 5 e-waste collection centres. It has also initiated a free door-to-door pickup service. It is high time that such provisions are made throughout the country. And why this should be left only to the government. There are so many voluntary organisations, specially the ones in health sector, who should come forward. It must be realised as to how this effects the health of the commoner.
We all must be proactive and see how we can help. Common gadgets that we use, be it our mobiles, tablets, ipods, computers, even some of our kitchen and home appliances, etc.. must be scientifically disposed off. Massive promotion drive to let people know of all this is a must too. We all are so ignorant of this.
