Following positive response and increased demand for the passenger help kiosk at the international terminal of the Indira Gandhi International airport, the Delhi Police is planning to extend the facility to the two domestic terminals soon.
So far, since the installation of first kiosk in December last year, 650 fliers have used it out of which in 32 cases e-FIRs or lost reports were registered by the Delhi police.
Known as “e-cop kiosk”, the kiosk is installed outside the international arrival terminal (T3). The facility helps passengers and people visiting the airport report lost items or lodge a complaint without visiting a police station.
Further, the kiosk also allows a passenger to access the internet for information about the city, find nearby necessities, locate places to visit, spot nearby markets, enquire about the weather or listen to music. Those running low on phone battery can also charge them at the kiosk.
