Delhi residents, who are unable to have their surgeries done at government hospitals 30 days , or if there are no infrastructual facilities, can now get free surgery done at 48 private hospitals.
The private hospitals where these surgeries can be availed of free include Max Hospital, Batra Hospital, Medanta Medicity, ILBS Hospital, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital... The free surgery scheme is limited to 52 types of surgeries, which include heart bypass, cataract, kidney stone removal....
Even radiology tests like MRI, CT Scan, PET Scan etc have been made free. Earlier this scheme was for persons with an income of less than 3 lakhs but now this condition has been removed.
Residents of Delhi from all income group can avail benefits of this scheme.
