Railway stations and railway hospitals will soon have Janaushadhi stores to benefit lakhs of passengers and railway employees.
The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras provide quality medicines at affordable prices.
Giving this information in New Delhi on Tuesdsay Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said : "we have decided to set up Janausadhi stores at railway stations, dispensaries, workshops and wherever possible on rail premises,"
The Railway ministry and the ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers have jointly agreed to this and it is likely that the launch could be made in a couple of months. Gradually more and more area would be covered.
According to Chemical and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar some 1640 Janaushadhi kedras are already functioning in 450 districts across the country.
