Two young graduates from Assam's Dr Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute ihave launched their theatre company called Aaideo Talkies which is a mobile cinema company. And their job is to screen exclusively Assamese movies in rural Assam.
To give the big screen effect they are equipped with a high-definition 4K projector, a Blu-ray player, a 3KV generator and a 35x25 ft screen. Tickets are priced between 5 and 50 Rupees and the screening is mostly indoors.
People in remote area, specially the youth, are enthralled - earlier they had to travel to Guwahati or Dibrugarh to get the big-screen experience but now, courtesy Aaideo Talkies they can see their favourite regional film in the village itself.
