State Bank of India has raised its limit for overseas education loans to 1.5 crore Rupees from the present 30 lakhs. As more Indians plan to study abroad, the bank has increased this limit to make it more realistic. According to the Deputy MD of SBI Anuradha Rao, the bank has received 300 applications in 40 days. The bank gives loan for tuition fees, laptop expenses, hostel, bicycle etc. Read more on this in HT in a report by Beena Parmar.
