After winning just two medals at Rio it is now the preparations of Bharat for the Tokyo Olympics which has to be looked into. Today most editorials have written about this, and most have talked of how we competed this time and what we should do for the next Olympics in 2020. The best editorial was in Indian Express with the heading "No Debacle At Rio" further saying that "India didn't just participate in the Olympics, it competed. Going ahead, sports needs more investment, less ad-adhocism." This really sums up as to what has to be done. In a country of 125 crores Bharat can surely do much better. And apart from the government, even the common citizen is likely to play a pro-active role in building an environment where results will come. Role of corporate, voluntary organisations must also increase.
