Stents Used in Heart Surgery to Cost Half

Stents used in heart surgeries will soon cost almost half the present price. This will be made possible with the health ministry's decision to include all types of stents to be put in the National List of Essential Medicines. It is reported that some 5 lakh stents are used in India annually and of this 60% are imported. Read more in the TOI report.
