Teenager's Classroom Notes Turned Into Book

Teachers of 17-year-old Shruti Tiwari, a resident of Matehiya village in Lakhimpur Kheri district's Bheera town, say that she will be remembered by Class X students in UP for years to come. Shruti, who found herself struggling with science subjects in 2015, started making her own notes in Hindi, which have been compiled into a book titled 'Science Sense' recently.

"Unlike most other students, I switched from English to Hindi medium in Class IX. It was a major shift and I found it hard to understand several topics in physics, chemistry and biology. After struggling for a while, I decided to start preparing my own notes in Hindi": Shruti.

"When I saw her notes, I realized that they were very simple and anyone could easily understand several complex theories by reading them. That is why I was one of the many teachers who encouraged Shruti to get her work published," said BD Shukla, who was Shruti's schoolteacher in 2015.
