Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an one-in-all app called UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) to provide over 150 services of the centre and state government on one single platform.
This app is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to drive Mobile Governance in India and also to promote Digital India mission.
Using this app, users can locate CBSE exam centres, view school results, calculate crop insurance premium, access soil health cards, book OPD appointments at government hospitals and view lab reports from there, register and apply for the PMKY programme, to pay your utility bills, file income tax, book a gas cylinder, know about your Provident fund account or have Aadhaar related query and much more.
The app can be downloaded free from Play store or App store and is available on multiple channels like mobile application, web, IVR, and SMS. This can be accessed through smartphones, feature phones, tablets and desktops. A dedicated customer support from 8 AM to 8 PM is available.
