श्री महेशवरी सभा, रांची, द्वारा 25 दिसंबर 2013 से अन्नपूर्णा सेवा चालू की गई थी जिसमें ₹10 में 6 रोटी सब्जी और आचार लोगों को दिया जा रहा था।
जब 24 मार्च को लॉक डाउन करने की घोषणा हुई तब कार्यकारिणी ने विचार किया कि जब तक लॉक डाउन रहेगा तब तक इस सेवा के तहत भोजन करने वालों को मुफ्त में भोजन देंगे। अगले दिन से यह सेवा निरंतर चल रही है और करीब 800 लोग रोज मुफ्त में भोजन प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। इससे गरीबों को काफी राहत मिल रही है तथा बगल में स्थित नागरमल मोदी सेवा सदन अस्पताल के मरीज, स्टाफ तथा मरीज के अटेंडेंट भोजन प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। साथ में सुबह एवं दोपहर को मुफ्त चाय की व्यवस्था की गई है तथा रात्रि को अस्पताल में सभी मरीजों को दूध दिया जा रहा है।
नर सेवा - नारायण सेवा है।
Shree Maheshwari Sabha, Ranchi had started "Annapurna Sewa" on 25th Dec 2013 offering meals at just Rupees ten to the needy. In the meal 6 rotis (bread), a vegetable and pickle were included.
On 24th March, when Prime Minister Modi announced the lock down for 21 days following the Corona breakdown, a decision was taken by the committee to provide these meals free of cost. From the next day the needy are being served free. In the adjoining building Nagarmal Modi Seva Sadan operates. The staff, patients, and their attendants are also making use of this facility. Morning and evening tea is also being served and all the patients are provided with milk every night.
Some 800 persons are being served daily, as of now.
