A unique initiative in Jharkhand is giving positive results for implementing the Swachh Bharat campaign of Central Government. Chief Secretary of Jharkhand had sent letters to east district administration that teachers should ensure that they use toilets at home.
State's West Singhbhum district administration took this programme in all seriousness. Hundreds of government school teachers were asked to click selfies with toilets at home and submit them to authorities to prove that they do not defecate in the open. They were also asked to submit measurements of the toilets. It is good to know that most teachers have submitted this and the rest are in the process to do so. There are 2205 primary and middle schools in the district.
