One teacher of a school in Mathurapur in 24-Paragnas in West Bengal recently was able to stop the marriage of a class X student of his school. According to the teacher this is the fifth child marriage, of his students, that he has been able to stop. In the last 3 years he has helped in all 10 school going girls.
दक्षिण 24 परगना के मथुरापुर के एक स्कूल के प्रधानाध्यापक ने हाल ही में अपने यहां की क्लास दसवीं के एक छात्रा की शादी रुकवाकर समाज में एक मिसाल कायम की है। इस संबंध में उन्होंने लड़की के पिता को समझाया और युवती का बालविवाह करने से रोका।
लेकिन प्रधानाध्यापक चंदन कुमार मैती अभी तक चिंतित हैं। उनका कहना है कि "ये एक साल में पांचवा बाल विवाह है जिसे मैंने रोका है और पिछले तीन सालों में ये दसवां ऐसा मामला है। सभी लड़कियां मेरे स्कूल की छात्रा हैं।
