CPCB’s ‘Waste to Wealth’ Ideation Hackathon in online mode on 14th May,2023
Driven by the message of Mission LiFE and circular economy goals, the Central Pollution Control Board is organizing an online ‘Waste to Wealth Ideation Hackathon’ for undergraduate and above students on 14th May, 2023 (Sunday) the registration for which are currently open on https://cpcb.nic.in/w2w-hackathon-cpcb/#
It is a nationwide event to provide platform to college students across the country to solve real-world waste management challenges on (a) plastic waste (b) electronic waste (c) battery waste (d) crop residue. It will help them to build upon their understanding of waste management and present innovative solutions for Waste to Wealth conversion.
The Ideation Hackathon offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to students to win cash prizes worth up to Rs. 3.6 Lakhs across all waste streams. On the day of Ideation Hackathon i.e. May 14, 2023 (Sunday), one problem Statement each for four waste categories will be posted on the CPCB website at 09:00 am and students will be required to email the original ideas pertaining to it on w2w.cpcb[at]gov[dot]in by 05:00 pm in a given template. The best original ideas under each waste category will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000. Along with this, chosen ideas will get incubation support, industry exposure, and mentoring from top scientists of CPCB. Purpose of this Hackathon
The purpose of this ideation hackathon is to encourage best young brains in the country to,
o Present original ideas on waste utilization, process modifications/ upgradations, engineering solutions, technical advancement, etc. for waste to wealth transformation.
o Identify valuable resources and products that exist in waste streams and present specialized/ innovative / multidimensional solutions for its utilization, create value in supply chains and explore/ create additional market.
This Hackathon is focused on boosting young intellectuals to apply their reasoning and problem solving aptitude in conjunction with technical skills to solve real world waste related challenges at grassroot level. It will help them to build upon their understanding on waste management, emerge with clearer thoughts and present innovative solutions for Waste to Wealth conversion.

14 मई 2023 को ऑनलाइन माध्यम से सीपीसीबी का ‘वेस्ट टू वेल्थ’ आईडिएशन हैकाथॉन होगा
केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड ‘मिशन लाइफ’ और सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी के लक्ष्य से प्रेरित होकर 14 मई 2023 को स्नातक और उससे ऊपर के विद्यार्थियों के लिए (वेस्ट टू वेल्थ आइडिएशन हैकथॉन) ‘अनुपयोगी को उपयोगी में बदलने के नवाचार’ विषय पर हैकाथॉन आयोजित कर रहा है। जिसके लिए पंजीकरण https://cpcb.nic.in/w2whackathon-cpcb/# साइट पर किया जा सकता है।
दुनिया में कचरे के प्रबंधन की चुनौतियों को हल करने के लिए महाविद्यालय के छात्रों को अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर मंच उपलब्ध कराएगा। इसमें कई वर्ग जैसे (क) प्लास्टिक अपशिष्ट (ख) इलेक्ट्रॉनिक अपशिष्ट (ग) बैटरी अपशिष्ट और (घ) फसल अवशेष को रखा गया है। यह हैकथॉन उन्हें कचरे को निधि या उपयोगी वस्तुओं में बदलने के लिए नवाचार और अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन पर अपनी समझ बनाने में भी मदद करेगा।
यह विचारों का हैकाथन सभी मदों में 3.6 लाख रुपये तक के नकद पुरस्कार जीतने का मौका विद्यार्थियों को उपलब्ध कराने का अपनी तरह का इकलौता अवसर है। हैकाथॉन के दिन यानी 14 मई, 2023 (रविवार) को कचरे से संबंधित चार श्रेणियों में एक-एक समस्या सीपीसीबी यानी केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड की वेबसाइट पर सुबह 09:00 बजे दी जाएगी। विद्यार्थियों से दिए गए प्रारूप में इसके निपटान से संबंधित अपने मौलिक विचार w2w.cpcb[at]gov[dot]in पर शाम 5:00 बजे तक ईमेल के माध्यम से भेज सकते हैं। समस्या के हर वर्ग में सुझाए गए उत्तम मौलिक विचार को 50,000, 25,000, 15,000 की नकद राशि प्रदान की जाएगी। इसके साथ ही चुने गए विचार को अपनाने हेतु औद्योगिक सहायता और केंद्रीय प्रदूषण कल्याण बोर्ड के वैज्ञानिकों का मार्गदर्शन भी प्राप्त होगा। योग्यता, प्रक्रिया और हैकथॉन से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण तिथियों के लिए कृपया देखें https://cpcb.nic.in/w2w-hackathon-cpcb/
