Cashless Wedding For A Jharkhand Mason

This must be a first in the country. Read news of cash less villages and other such stories, but reading of this story in Hindustan Times was so interesting. Dedicating his initiative to PM Narendra Modi's drive on cashless transactions, Subhash Nayak, a mason, opted for a wedding which was completely cashless.

Subhash is a non-matriculate. He married Sunita, daughter of a labourer from Itihasa village in West Singhbhum in Jharkhand.

From 'shagun' to 'kanyadaan', in all rituals Paytm and PoS machines were used; guests paid through cheques; payments for tenting, vegetables, ration, jewellery etc. were all made by cheques.

This tech-savvy marriage in remote Jharkhand has a message for all - if someone decides to act, s/he can do it, even if the task may seem impossible by most, specially when one believes that the action being taken is in national interest.
