Even some 'idiotic' ideas turn out to be game changers. A group of friends were having sugar-cane juice on the road side and they saw the gen set, used for crushing, emitting toxic diesel exhaust. The sugar-cane vendor extended the exhaust to a nearby wall which had turned black with soot. The youth got an idea to utilise this soot to make ink. And then the work started to achieve this goal. Thousands and thousands of gen sets are being used all over and then we have the industrial chimneys - if only the diesel emission can be reduced ....
