Bharat Mahan

Today, when we rarely find people talking in Sanskrit, in village Mattur in the Shimoga district of Karnataka all the residents talk in fluent Sanskrit. Reports say that once a child attains the age of 10 he starts getting lessons in Vedas. It is also reported that in every family an IT professional has emerged. And many of these IT persons have gone abroad for better opportunities. Surprising Mattur village is comparatively very peaceful, unlike other areas where the police stations are filled with unlimited cases to be resolved. Local residents believe that the traditional values practised have helped in achieving a peaceful life here.
