The general perception is that most Police Stations are dirty, lack basic amenities - not only for the people who have to go there but also for the police persons who work there.
In Delhi, a department survey has found one of its police stations - the Kirti Nagar PS - to be a one of its kind. This police station in fully wi-fi enabled and even the general public can use the services free; it has a fully equipped gym to keep the cops fit; it has a subsidised cafeteria for police persons and the visitors, facilities for some games for cops, a clean dining room with cutleries. This police station was also found to be executing warrants and serving of summons in a better way and has regular parades carried out to maintain discipline....
Many of us will be surprised to read this news item. Maybe other police stations in Delhi and other states also move a little ahead in this direction.
