School For Slum Children At A Police Station

Times of India has given an excellent story of the Prem Nagar police station in Dehradun, which does much more than the usual police work. At this police station, every day, from 9.30 in the morning to 3.30 in the afternoon teaching classes are taken for children in the age group of 4 and 12. These children are from the near by slum. Today the school has 51 children. When it started in March there were just 10 students.
