With Skills Training At Ekal, Supriya Supports Family

This is another success story from Ekal. Apart from basic education Ekal also provides skill development training under the Gramothan Yojna at Ekal's Gramothan Resource Centres. 

At one such resource centre in Jharkhand training for computer literacy and stitching is also given. Here, one Supriya Kanlid from Purnadih village in the state, took training for stitching clothes in 2012. After completion of the training she has mastered and can stitch ladies suits, petticoats, blouses, etc. Now, she is able to earn five to six thousand Rupees every month.

She supports the family. She says proudly that she is now able to support her unemployed husband pursue his post-graduation studies.
