In Gujarat, a unique health care facility has been launched for the elderly, 70+, wherein they would get access to primary health monitoring at their doorstep. A registration fee of 1000 Rs will have to be given. A doctor, nurse and an attendant will visit them every fortnight for check-up and advise.

Cabinet approves setting up of a Central University in Andhra Pradesh. A provision of funds worth Rs. 450 crore has been approved for meeting the first phase expenditure towards its establishment.

Telecom Commission gives nod to allow users to make calls to mobiles phones as well as landlines through the internet. Phone calls can then be made without a SIM.
