Grants-in-aid amounting to Rs. 14.30 crore has been sanctioned for bock level sports in Jammu and Kashmir under the ‘Khelo India’ Scheme by the Union Sports Ministry. An amount of Rs. 10 lakh per block will be spent under the scheme in all the 143 blocks of 22 districts of J&K.

Revision In Wage Allowances Of Gramin Dak Sevaks
Union Cabinethas approved the revision in the wage structure and allowances of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) of the Department of Posts. 3.07 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks will be benefitted by this wage revision.
The revision in the wage structure would entail an estimated expenditure of Rs 1257.75 crore (Non-recurring expenditure - Rs 860.95 crore and Recurring expenditure of Rs.396.80 crore) during 2018-19.
