Children From Streets On Way To Schools

More than 500 street children in west Delhi have enrolled in corporation schools over the past two years, with at least 14 getting top ranks in their final exams. These children—mostly in the age group of 8 to 14 years—have been previously working in the west Delhi area.

The high enrollment could be attributed to a campaign "Street to Schools" by Chetna, an NGO, which includes the school authorities and the parents to actively participate in sending them to schools and ensuring that they continue.
