'Ganda' (dirty) was the name of a village under Ratia block in Haryana’s Fatehabad district. Looks funny but this was the name of the village till now. However, a teenager girl, Harpreet, from the village could not take this. She was often teased by her cousins because of this name.
Harpreet Kaur Malkat wrote a letter in December 2015, to the PM seeking change of name. Before writing to the PM when she talked to her parents they scolded her. \
Because of her letter action has been taken and now this village will soon have a new name Ajit Nagar.
