Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines In Hazaribagh's 10 Girls Schools

Hazaribagh has become the first district in Jharkhand to install sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators. 10 such vending machines and incinerators have been installed at Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidyalayas. This will benefit benefit 3400 girl students allowing them easy access to basic hygiene and dignified living standards.

For the napkins the students will not have to pay any amount. These machines have been procured at a cost of four lakh Rupees.

Such vending machines/incinerators should be installed in other schools too. May be, apart from the government, voluntary organisatiions also join this move.
