Two Class XII Girls Have Got Many Adults To Vote

Kami got his election card after learning at a small gathering near his house in Kusumpur Pahari area near Vasant Vihar why it was important to possess one. The meeting was organised by two Class XII students, Siya Malhotra and Noor Takkar, founders of My Vote My Voice (MVMV). Identity cards may be the current rage, with the government focused on linking all policy interventions with identification documents like voter's card or Aadhaar, but many citizens don't know how to have these made.

MVMC has facilitated voter ID cards for more than a dozen men and women, five of whom voted for the first time during the April civic body elections.

Not a very big number that MVMC may have facilitated, but then Siya and Noor have done something which most of us are not doing. Now a days it is so difficult to find such motivating, inspirational stories in newspapers, which are filled with politics, violence, accidents etc., this story says that there are many who do selfless service for the nation, for mankind. Such stories should find more space in the columns of newspapers, so that people come to know and are motivated to do likewise.

If you come across any such story do mail us at [email protected]
