Another step to fight corruption at the Regional Transport Offices in Delhi is that all 13 of them will go online from today. This can be replicated in other states too. 

The first consignment of non-basmati rice (white rice 5% broken) of 100 tonnes is to be shipped to China from Nagpur today. The consignment will be received by China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO), a state-owned food processing holding company. After concerted efforts of GoI, 19 rice mills and processing units have been registered for export of non-basmati rice from India to China. Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of new domestic terminal building and other allied structures at Patna airport at an estimated cost of Rs.1,216.90 crore. The passenger handling capacity of the airport shall enhance to 4.5 million passengers per annum from existing 0.7 m. (PIB)

The due date for filing of Income Tax Returns and Audit Reports for Assessment Year 2018-19 is 30th September, 2018 for certain categories of taxpayers. This has been extended to 15th October, 2018 in respect of the said categories of taxpayers. However, there shall be no extension of the due date for the purpose of section 234A (Explanation 1) of the I.T. Act, 1961 pertaining to Interest for defaults in furnishing return, and the assessee shall remain liable for payment of interest as per provisions of section 234A of the Act.
