74-year-old, former Indian Air Force airman, CBR Prasad, who runs a poultry farm, has donated Rs 1.08 crore to the Ministry of Defence. Prasad had this to say on his donation, “After fulfilling my family responsibilities, I thought I should give back to the defence whatever I got from there. I decided to give Rs 1.08 crore to the defence forces.”
30,85,205 Persons Enrolled In PM-SYM
In Feb 2019 Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM), a voluntary and contributory pension Scheme, for the benefit of unorganised workers, as per the eligibility, was launched. The scheme assures minimum monthly pension of Rs. 3000/- to the beneficiaries after attaining the age of 60 years. As on date 10.07.2019, the total person enrolled under PM-SYM are 30,85,205.

1.64 Cr+ Farmers Registered On e-NAM Platform
As on 30.06.2019, more than 1.64 crore farmers & more than 1.24 lakh traders have been registered on e-NAM platform. National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) is envisaged as a pan-India electronic trading platform was launched on 14th April, 2016 with the objective of creating online transparent competitive price discovery system to facilitate farmers with remunerative prices for their produce.
