In a major boost for Army, Defence Research and Development Organisation successfully test fired indigenously developed, low weight, fire and forget Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile for the second time today in the ranges of Rajasthan desert, which is incorporated with advanced features including state-of-the-art Imaging Infrared Radar Seeker with integrated avionics. The first test was conducted on 13th March 2019.

Defence Research and Defence Organisation (DRDO) today successfully test fired the Guided PINAKA from Pokhran ranges. The weapon system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance kit comprising of an advanced navigation and control system. In both the missions, the weapon systems impacted the intended targets with high precision and achieved desired accuracy. Telemetry Systems tracked and monitored the vehicle all through the flight path. All the mission objectives were met.

With the aim of benefiting sugar farmers and in order to clear their arrears/cane dues, the Union Government has decided to increase the Minimum Selling Price (MSP) of sugar from Rs. 29 to Rs. 31 for the year 2019-20. 

The Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Fair Average Quality (FAQ) of Raw Jute has been increased to Rs.3950/- per quintal for 2019-20 season from Rs. 3700/- per quintal in 2018-19 season.

As on 06.02.2019, the number of beneficiaries hospitalised under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana(PMJAY) is 10,94,254., and the total number of hospitals empaneled under PMJAY are 14,728, of these, 7299 are private hospitals. 

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2016-20, as on 24.01.2019, 37.32 lakh (appx.) candidates have been trained - under Short Term Training (STT) (25.25 lakh), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) (11.27 lakh) and Special Project (0.8 lakh) in various sectors across the country.
