Capital city Delhi may soon have a green fuel which will be cleaner than CNG. Testing to begin on H-CNG (hydrogen CNG).
Following a report submitted by the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority to the apex court, the Supreme Court had last month directed the Union government and Indian Oil Corp to look into hydrogen-CNG which could result in the reduction CO and other emissions by as much as 70%.
According to the Supreme Court's instructions, as many as 50 buses will be required to be tested based on H-CNG with a deadline of one year.
