NABARD Sanctions 21,000 cr to District Central Co-op Banks

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das has informed that for benefit of farmers National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 21,000 crores to rural areas to enable district cooperative banks to pass the money to primary agri-societies. No service charge will be levied on digital financial transactions using feature phones (which are not smartphones) till 31st December including all switching charges and other charges in RUPAY cards and all debit cards till the same period.
Mr Das further said, all government organisations and public sector undertakings have been asked to use only e-payments via. card, digital platforms and AADHAAR enabled payments.
