'Udaan Project' Helping Acid Attack Survivors

Ashama is one of the nine women who have come to Delhi from different places in UP to take part in a training programme called the Udaan Project. They will learn skills and, when the three-week training ends on Sunday, will be assigned to work at Sheroes Hangout — a chain of cafes in Lucknow, Agra and Udaipur run by acid attack survivors. The project is a collaboration between a group of image consultants and Chhanv Foundation, a non-profit empowering victims of acid-violence.

We have heard so much of such atrocities from all over the country. The Udaan project must get all the support. Moreover, such programmes should be run in other parts of the country too to help victims of acid attack.
