Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju jointly inaugurated the newly constructed Cricket Stadium at KV No. 1, Delhi Cantt in Delhi today. They also launched the Fit India School Rating System. Member of Parliament Smt Meenakshi Lekhi graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.
Union HRD Minister in his address said that healthy India is the cornerstone in making New India. He said that the Fit India program is an innovative initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to increase the awareness among the masses and to encourage people to adopthealthy lifestyle.He said that health does not only mean absence of disease in body, but also implies how happy and full of energy we are. The Minister was delighted to know that there is already a program going on in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan called 'Healthy Children Healthy India', this Fit India program will give it a new dimension.
Pokhriyal said that the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are playing an important role in every field related with School education. We have more than 16 lakh Schools and over one thousand Universities catering education to over 33 crores students. This is a huge Youth Power which will infuse life into Fit India Campaign,he said. He complimented the efforts of KVS in Fit India Campaign and admired KV students as Brand Ambassador of the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion Rijiju said that Fit India school rating system as per certain parameters will enhance the image of the schools. He also complimented the Kendriya Vidyalayas for their active participation in Fit India Movement. He said KVs are ahead of other schools in promoting culture and sports along with education. He called upon all the students to do physical exercise daily in order to remain fit. Because only fit people can make the nation fit, he added. He also complimented CBSE for joining hands with Sports Ministry in making Fit India Movement a success through active participation of schools.
The Ministers also played a token match of one over on the newly constructed stadium and motivated the students presenting Archery, Judo and Taekwondo.
The new stadium constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 294.41 lakhs has a facility of three pitches, automatic sprinkler system of ground watering, Ground Drainage, Viewers gallery and underground water reservoir. The oval shaped Pavilion gives a miniature look of the International Cricket Stadium of Lords in London. This stadium is going to facilitate around 5000 children every year.
Three Kendriya Vidyalayas of Delhi KV Sector 8 RK Puram, KV Andrewsganj and KV No. 1 Delhi Cantt were awarded with Fit India Flag during the event.
फिट इंडिया अभियान के तहत ‘फिट इंडिया स्कूल रेटिंग सिस्टम’ का शुभारंभ किया गया
केन्द्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल ‘निशंक’ और युवा कार्य एवं खेल राज्य मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने आज दिल्ली कैंट स्थित केवी नम्बर 1 में नव-निर्मित क्रिकेट स्टेडियम का संयुक्त रूप से उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने ‘फिट इंडिया स्कूल रेटिंग सिस्टम’ का भी शुभारंभ किया। सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
केन्द्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि ‘नया भारत’ बनाने में स्वस्थ भारत आधारशिला है। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘फिट इंडिया’ कार्यक्रम प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा लॉन्च की गई एक अभिनव पहल है, जिसका उद्देश्य आम जनता के बीच जागरूकता बढ़ाना और लोगों को स्वस्थ जीवनशैली अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य का मतलब केवल शरीर में बीमारी का न होना नहीं है, बल्कि इसका अर्थ यह भी है कि हम कितने प्रसन्न और ऊर्जा से परिपूर्ण हैं। उन्हें यह जानकर अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई कि केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन में पहले से ही ‘स्वस्थ बच्चे, स्वस्थ भारत’ के नाम से एक कार्यक्रम जारी है। उन्होंने कहा कि फिट इंडिया कार्यक्रम इसे एक नया आयाम प्रदान करेगा।
पोखरियाल ने कहा कि केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन (केवीएस) और केन्द्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सीबीएसई) स्कूली शिक्षा से संबंधित प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। हमारे पास 33 करोड़ छात्रों को शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए 16 लाख से अधिक विद्यालय और 1 हजार से अधिक विश्वविद्यालय हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की विशाल युवा शक्ति फिट इंडिया अभियान में जान डालेगी। निशंक ने फिट इंडिया अभियान में केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगंठन के प्रयासों की सराहना की और अभियान के ब्रांड एम्बेसडर के तौर पर केन्द्रीय विद्यालय के छात्रों की प्रशंसा की।
इस अवसर पर रिजिजू ने कहा कि खास मानदंडों के अुनसार फिट इंडिया स्कूल रेटिंग प्रणाली से विद्यालयों की छवि चमकेगी। उन्होंने फिट इंडिया अभियान में सक्रिय भागीदारी के लिए केन्द्रीय विद्यालयों की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षा के साथ-साथ संस्कृति और खेल को बढ़ावा देने में केन्द्रीय विद्यालय अन्य विद्यालयों की तुलना में कहीं आगे है। उन्होंने कहा सभी छात्रों से कहा कि स्वस्थ रहने के लिए वे रोजाना शारीरिक कसरत करें। उन्होंने कहा कि केवल स्वस्थ व्यक्ति ही स्वस्थ राष्ट्र का निर्माण कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने स्कूलों की सक्रिय भागीदारी के जरिए फिट इंडिया अभियान को सफल बनाने में खेल मंत्रालय के साथ हाथ मिलाने के लिए सीबीएसई की भी सराहना की।
दोनों मंत्रियों ने नवनिर्मित स्टेडियम में एक ओवर का सांकेतिक मैच भी खेला और तीरंदाजी, जूडो तथा ताएक्वांडो के लिए छात्रों को प्रेरित किया।
नवनिर्मित स्टेडियम को 294.41 लाख रूपये की अनुमानित लागत से तैयार किया गया है, जिसमें तीन पिचों, स्वचालित स्प्रिंकलर प्रणाली, ग्राउंड ड्रेनेज, दर्शक दीर्घा तथा भूमिगत जलाशय की सुविधा मौजूद है।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान, दिल्ली के तीन केन्द्रीय विद्यालयों – केन्द्रीय विद्यालय सेक्टर 8 आरके पुरम, केन्द्रीय विद्यालय एंड्रियूजगंज और केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संख्या 1 दिल्ली कैंट को फिट इंडिया फ्लैग से पुरस्कृत किया गया।
