Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG Scheme (DBTL)/PAHAL was launched in 54 districts on 15.11.2014 and was subsequently extended. Currently, the scheme is under implementation in 715 districts. Under the scheme, the LPG cylinders are being sold at non-subsidised price and subsidy, as admissible, is transferred to consumers directly into his/her bank account subject to applicable cap on subsidized refills. MSP For Copra Hiked
Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Fair Average Quality (FAQ) of "Milling Copra" has been increased to Rs.9521/- per quintal and the MSP of "Ball Copra" has been increased to Rs.9920/- per quintal for 2019 season.
Bids For Wind Power Projects Of 8000+ MW Capacity Finalised

Two Indian teachers, Arti Qanungo, an English teacher at Govt Girls Sr Secondary School at Shakarpur in Delhi and Swaroop Rawal, a Life Skills teacher at Lavad Primary School in Gujarat, have been shortlisted among the top 50 from around the world for the annual USD 1-million Global Teacher Prize 2019 by UK-based Varkey Foundation.

IAF Flight-Tests First Plane With Bio-Fuel
The Indian Air Force (IAF) flew a military aircraft (AN-32) with blended bio-jet fuel for the first time on Monday. The IAF intends to fly this plane on Republic Day using bio-fuel. Regular use can cut down some costs for IAF. (TOI)
